| Salman Burney joined the Board in August 2017 as a Non-Executive Director. He began his professional career with ICI Pakistan in Sales and Marketing, holding various roles both in Pakistan and at ICI plc, London. He later served as General Manager of ICI’s Agrochemicals & Seeds Business. In 1992, he joined SmithKline Beecham and was appointed Managing Director in 1997, with additional responsibility for Iran and the Caspian Region. Subsequently, he was CEO of GlaxoSmithKline’s pharmaceutical operations in Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan as Vice President/Area General Manager. He holds a degree in Economics from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, UK. He has also served as President of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) and as Chairperson of the MNC Pharma Association, where he led the industry’s engagement with the government on key issues. In addition, he has been a member of the Privatization Commission and has served on Various Boards such as P.I.D.C. and N.T.D.C. |
